Now what????

I am currently on 62.5 mcg of eutirox and these are my lab results
TSH 0.6 (0.4 - 4)
FT4 15.8 (11.5 - 22.7)
FT3 4.4 (2.76 - 6.45)
the doctor I've seen yesterday said I was stable, this was the right medicine. I should see him in three months. I do feel a lot better than I have 8 months ago when I first learned I had Hasimotos and started taking 25 mcg, but I still don't sleep to well (better but not as I used to), I am still gaining weight (not a lot but I do eat a lot of sweets because to go trough the day when I feel tired), my hair is still falling out and I have no sex drive. What do you think? Is this because of the tyroid or maybe something else? What should I do? Oh, and I have enlarged lymph nodes on my neck, under the chin and in the back of my head - does anyone know anything about that? Thanks a lot for reading this.

Thanks again for your input, I really appreciate it. I'll see the general doctor about the lymph nodes. Take care

My experience with FT3 was that once my FT4 stabilized, it continued to rise with no further increase in T4 meds.  Last April and August, my FT4 were exactly the same, but FT3 was up considerably by August.  It takes a while for the conversion of T4 to T3 to kick in to its fullest extent.

The balance of your FT3 to FT4 looks good.  I think you just need a little increase to nudge them both up a bit, and after your body has a chance to heal, you should see the rest of your symptoms go away.

I really don't know enough about the lymph nodes to comment.  Sorry...

oh and one more thing - my FT3 are in the same range as they were when I first started on medication my TSH is dropping with the medicine increase, FT4 are growing more quickly and FT3 very slowly. Do you know anything about that? Sorry to bombard you with all these questions but I really have no one else to ask. Thank you soooo much

Thank you so much for answering!! I also thought these were thyroid symptoms but my doctor said they weren't. I'll try to see if he's willing to bump up the dosage. He didn't say anything because I forgot to ask (I didn't have my list of questions with me), but I'll go and see a general doctor and start from there. Or do you think they could be there because of the thyroid? Thanks once again for answering.

It looks to me like you need a slight meds increase.  Your FT4 is just above the bottom third of the range, and your FT3 is below midrange.  Many thyroid patients don't feel well until FT4 is midrange and FT3 is in the upper half to third of its range.  Also, you still have hypo symptoms.  Would your doctor be agreeable to increasing your dose to 69.5 (half of a 139)?  I'd try that and retest after five to six weeks to see if you need to go up to 75.

I don't know anything about your enlarged lymph nodes.  What did your doctor have to say about them?
