Nuclear Scan on my 14 yr old daughter
What will a nuclear scan show on my daughters thyroid? They said this is the next test to do, since she has had several ultrasounds and they aren't getting any better. They are questioning cancer at this point. Will this be accurate? Will it be dangerous for her to go through with this test? Anything would be helpful. Thank You.

Probably your daughter have a nodule, but FNA would be more accurate. I have a cousin that had a thyroid cancer (one nodule), she was 9 years old, and she did FNA and scan.

Does she have any nodule? (any FNA?) , any symptoms? or they suspect something on her Pituitary gland ?
