Just reading the results of my Thyroid Uptake and Scan and it says I have numerous cold nodules. Have not seen the Endocrinologist yet but was wondering if this will require a needle byopsy and if this is something I should be worried about- the doctor who gave me the results over the phone today did not mention these cold nodules?
I would see an endo if I were you. They know much more about these things and give proper diagnosis. Don't worry. 95% of thyroid nodules are benignBenign ear cyst or tumor Benign positional vertigo and if you have multiple nodules, there are even more chances of them being benignBenign ear cyst or tumor Benign positional vertigo over a single nodule. The endo might ask for a biopsy. If you need biopsy, please make sure to get it done with ultrasound guidance and see that slides are sent to proper cytologist for reading. I was recently diagnosed with a single nodule and just went through biopsy etc.
