Post op 1/9/07 partial thyroidectomy

and

Mini Procedure under local 3/9/07 to remove a benign lump above the incision that was caused by an infetious ruptured cyst that cuased the incision to get infected and the lump to appear and grow above the incision.

I am doing ok with the scars as finally they are healing like they should be!!

To: Wondering my thyroid scar compared to yours ? ..
So I guess I am ultimately wondering how does my thyroid scar compare to yours ... we cannot say same timeframe, as I had been set back by infection, but overall looks .. they *tell* me it should heal nicely even with all its been thru .... I believe them but cannot help but wonder how it looks compared to others. For the record it is post-op 1/9/07 partial.

I think it looks good.  That 2nd scar looks tiny :-)  My surgeon hid mine in the crease at the base of my neck (I'm heavy so it's a good sized crease) so it's hard to see mine unless I point it out.  I've been meaning to take a picture of it & post it.  I'll have to do that today.

I'm very impressed! I think that it looks wonderful for surgery so recent and for what you have been through. For comparison, my 30-year-old scar is a thin white line about 4" long. Obviously surgical techniques have improved and they can use smaller incisions now. Keep up the good healing!

That looks fantastic! I'm extremely impressed!!

My scar is "slightly" less red and a hint lower than yours. (TT 12/7)

My drain site is still a pimple type bump--(about4 inches below my incision)

I'm using concetrated vitamin e oil on my incision& drain site- What type of lotion or treatment are you using?

The new scar is ONLY Bacitracin for another 10 days .... the old scar I swear by Mederma cream BUT afraid to use it bcz the new scar is too new for it .. I tried some makeup but didn't like the look @ all as I cannot blend it up into the new scar for even tone .. sooo AU NATURAL and finally feeling ok about it!!!!!
