OT: Mole Biopsy report words inside for those who asked (BTDT & comments are welcomed as always! ..

It is subtle Melanoma in Situ.  Didn't state  Clarke's Level but from what I've read it is the best kind to have as it hasn't progressed beyond top layer of skin!  It is totally clear margins now.

I will quote the following sentences from pathology report directly:

"Residuum of the previously biopseid proliferation of atypical melanocytes & fibrosing granulation tissue  Note:  these changes are most consonant with subtle residual melanoma in situ.  The melanocytic proliferation extends wto within 2.5mm's of the peripheral margins from 3 to 5 o'clock and from 10 to 11:30- with the suture to the 12 o'clock position.  The examined margins are free of the melanocytic proliferation in these sections.  Step sections have been examined.  The previous biopsy specimen has been reviewed."

He gave me two cortisone shots bcz I am developing scar tissue (what else is new with me LOL!!!) and I have to start massaging it to break up the scar tissue.  Otherwise looks great and I had a full body ck and go back in 3 mos again for another body ck.

That is great news!  Only on the top layer of skin is the best situation to have if you have to have melanoma at all!  Sounds to me like Clarke's level I which just proves that you're on top of your body and won't have any issues with any other moles giving you problems b/c you'll be taking care of them so timely.

I am sorry about your scar tissue.  Isn't it about time you caught a break!?  Geeze Louise!

Yes .. the best possible scenario right!!!!!  This mole was about a year old and it drastically started to change shape moreso than size or color so off it came! It was an obvious teardrop shape when they removed it. When they grow tails like that I run (don't walk) to the dermatologist!
