Oh Holy #@$%!!! Ohio anyone???

Trying to find a doctor who even TESTS FT3, let alone know what it means around here is like beating my head against the wall!!!!!! Was just told by an office manager that I would need a degree to argue testing the FT3 with that doctor.....
How do they not know?? I am in NW Ohio, so if anyone, ANYONE knows of a good doc around here, please pm me (or post?)...about to lose it here!!!!!! Thanks!

Thanks Dani! I wish you the best of luck too!! Just spent the afternoon asking receptionists to find out what their docs test for thyroid function....hard to believe how many do test the FT4 and NOT the FT3! SO disgusted!! I have my fingers crossed for all of us

The Fairview one is doable, but it's sad because I need just a regular doc too....

I wish I could offer you help- I am going through the same thing right now.  I have been through four drs so far in this thyroid journey of 16 months. Three drs would only order TSH and the current endo I am seeing ordered TSH and T4.

I have called many drs offices to ask about how they treat thyroid and I am always told they cannot tell me, you must see the dr to find out that.  I have also called pharmacies to ask about drs who prescribe T3 med or Armour.  None are willing to give me any info and one pharmacist yelled at me as she told me all the horrors of Armour.

I really hope you are able to find a good and knowledgeable dr.  I have an appt with my endo tomorrow morning and I am going to beg/plead for T3 test.  I know we cant give up- there must be some good ones out there.

The best I have to offer right now is a doctor in Fairview Park, Oh, that was recommended by a fellow member.  Also have an Endo in Monroe, Mi that was recommended by a good thyroid doctor.  Would you be interested in either of these?
