Opinions on Nodual welcome...

Hi all, went back to see the specialist about the shrinkage of nodual ( I went for a biopsy last week) The biopsy was not performed as the scan showed the Nodual has gone from 11mm to 8mm..Specialist wants to repeat scan in 6months..I'm happy with that, is this what would be the protocol..He said if still the same then repeat again as well..Am i doing the right thing here, we did not do an uptake scan as it is not a good diagnoses with the Hashi, and i would have to be off my meds for six weeks.. ??? If you are taking thyroid meds for Hashi, the nodules should shrink. My endo told me my nodules would shrink with my T4 med. So far, I can still feel them.

However, in your case, hooray!!!!

BTW - If he doesn't want you to stop the meds to do an uptake scan, I'd go along with it. You will be miserable, and besides, the nodules are shrinking.

Thanks, Tamra..yes im on meds for Hashi/Hypo.I am happy it has shrunk..lol just my paranoia. will get it all done again in 6 months then, Thanks Dawn x
