I CAN RELATE TO ALL THE SYMPTOMS ABOVE. MY TSH LEVEL WAS 52 AND T4 LEVEL WAS 1.4. I FEEL ABSOLUTELY EXHAUSTED, IRRITABLE AND WOULD LOVE NOT TO GAIN WEIGHT. ALSO MY MUSCLES ACHE AND FEEL TIRED ALL THE TIME. I WORK IN A HIGH STRESS ENVIRONMENT HEALTHCARE AND MY CONCENTRATION IS NOT GOOD. ONE DAY I JUST NOTICED ALL THIS GRAY HAIR AND I THOUGHT WHAT THE HECK HAS HAPPENED SO I GOT IT COLORED AND IN LESS THAN 2 WEEKS GUESS WHAT IT WAS BACK. FOR ABOUT THE PAST 3 WEEKS I THINK MY HEAD WILL EXPLODE AND RELATED THAT TO THE WEATHER AND HUMIDITY BUT, I THINK IT IS A SIDE EFFECT OF HYPOTHYROIDISM.
I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH MY LEVELS BEING OUT OF WHACK FOR ABOUT 10-11MONTHS HOW LONG HAS IT TAKEN TO GET IT CLOSE TO NORMAL BECAUSE I AM GETTING VERY FRUSTRATED AND IT ALMOST SEEMS HOPELESS AT TIMES. SOMETIMES I FEEL SO DISORIENTED IT IS ALMOST LIKE AN OUTER BODY EXPERIENCE. OH YEAH DID I MENTION BALANCE SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE A CLOWN STAGGERING AROUND. ALMOST FEELING LIKE HAVING AN INNER EAR INFECTION.
Was PCOS also considered?
No your not crazy, I have tried all kinds of vitamins. B12 sublingo helps the best with numbness.
Thanks for everyone share your symptoms. I have changed 4 doctors so far but still in same place just little , this current doctor told me once you get around 1.0 TSH level you feel like that .
I do have Peripheral Neuropathy , used to have extreme tingling /numbness in hand and feet but now have some burning sensation in feet and hands fall sleep in night may be because i sleep with my one arm under the pillow.
I gain around 15 Ibs in just 2 months , very sluggish and lack of concentration . So thought just run by with my forum friends to see i am not the only crazy.
Any one has any benefit using Magnesium (Natural Calm) in muscles weakness and pain.
I had all of these really bad and then some with TSH of 5.56 for 4 years. Being hypo does make you lose muscle fast.
Know it's hard to do, but you just have to convince them that you are still hypo. Make take searching for more drs, fun, until you find one who will listen.
Good luck.

1. Brain Fog - yes, very
2. Constant Headache - no
3. Muscles /joint pain . Lot muscles twitching and cramp - yes, especially knees, ankles, hips and back. Excruciating - sometimes makes me cry.
4. lack of energy little better than before - yes, exhaustion. Sleep way too much.
5. Grey hairs / hair Loss. - yes, my hair seems to be "fading." I don't color it and I don't have more than five or six really white hairs, but all over my head it seems to be just losing color and getting lighter - almost blonde. My part is getting wider (more noticeable) and hair is fragile - breaking easily. Eyebrows and eyelashes are disappearing.
Also have dry eyes which tear all the time and feel gritty. Swollen face, especially lips and eyes. Pain in throat, mild more like a tension or tightness. Deepened voice, (I hate it when people on the phone think I'm a man and ask if my "wife" is home.) Recently elevated cholesterol. High blood pressure. Insulin dependence. Feel really bloated, but no GI symptoms other than constipation. Pounding heart and dizziness.
I'm new so I'm not sure about all the test numbers, but what I have is:
TSH: 49.458 (0.350 - 5.0)
T4: 2.4 (4.5 - 12.0)
Free T4 Index: 0.7 (1.2 - 4.9)
The muscle weakness shows up for me most when I'm trying to carry my handbag or groceries at the store or my books at school. I've actually had to stop and set my bag down and rest for a minute when walking across the parking lot. Also, my legs sometimes just don't want to extend to where I think I'm going to step so I feel like I'm going to fall forward a lot. I haven't fallen yet, but I look tottery and weak and old sometimes. I have hope that the Synthroid is going to fix this stuff...eventually.
Good luck and we are all experiencing some of or most of the same things so keep us posted. It helps us all to know what others are going through.

well my internist checked my B12 plus MMA and Homocysteine level that came back normal,Is any one also having muscles weakness.I can't hold my daughter for more than 5mins.
Got it all and more, neuropathies. Well not sure about gray hair.
Also do you know what decreased echogenicity posteriorly is?
For starters, no dx here and thus, no medication. Current internist is wondering about Thyroiditis. Experience everything you listed, save for *constant* headache. My ft4:
T4, Free (Direct): 0.97 ng/dL [0.61-1.76]
My Tsh was in the 1.+
Somewhat elevated TgaB.
For 35-I have *a-lot* of grey hair, not to mention...very thin (major hair loss over a period of time)!

I have all those symptoms....except hair loss and really cannot judge on the grey hairs....I have colored my hair since I was in my early 30's to cover the grey creeping in LOL
My TSH this week is 2.97...had lobectomy for a large nodule in Feb...so I only have 1/2 a sort of working thyroid gland at this point...the TSH is slowly climbing....next testing in 2 weeks....Synthroid at 3.0 per the endo I see...
I also have pernicious anemia...have you had your B12 level checked? goes hand in hand with Hashi's the doctor tells me....I give myself injections once every 3 weeks....frequency was just increased from once monthly....that will also be reevaluated in 2 weeks
I have HBP, MVP as well...
all these stinking things seem to be related to autoimmune problems...
