Cool on the little stickers .......... neat idea!
C :::)))
They are like stickers you place over the scar and helps the scar edges get pressed together to health better. That is what my surgeon told me so I went out and bought it to see and it does look to be working.

Right now I am using scar tapes to help it heal and go away.

Hmmmm would a bow tie work ::: Just kidding::: C~
I tired to cover it the first few days.. nothing seemed to work that great, scarfs seemed to get open and it showed..l so I decided to wear it proudly and show it off! actually it helped the healing process. BE PROUD... it displays, strength, courage and survial !
Not a thing, and I've been wearing v-necks because my throat still can't stand anything touching it. And even with the scar right there, front and center, four inches long and lovely, most people don't even notice it. When they hear me try to talk and ask if I've lost my voice, I croak that I had surgery and point to the scar and they do tremendous double-takes. Don't be self-conscious, though. As a friend of mine who just had open heart surgery (mid-60s) said "Scars are in!"
I was *sooo* self conscious the first surgery - only person I knew who had it. Scarfs, necklaces, and turtle neck sweaters were all I'd wear for a year. Then I had the second surgery and from there didn't care who saw it. :-)
Nothing! I've proudly displayed it since the day I left the hospital.

I find people talk to my scar like another poster mentioned. I'm tall and the scar with some is at their eye level ... I don't like that at all .. I find they keep looking @ it while we talk ... I prefer eye contact LOL ..not glances at it during my conversation which ultimately lead me to believe they aren't listening to me and their thoughts are wondering as we speak ???

mine is still too fresh to try to hide-still has the scab. My 3 year old says it looks yucky and wants me to put one of her Dora band-aids on it:)
I kinda of think of it as an exclusive survivors club badge...others see it and nod in understanding, its kind of like an insiders thing...I don't mind it at all

4 inches right in the middle of my neck. It doesn't bother me, but my co-worker constantly looks at my neck when she talks to me! Can't keep her eyes off it. No one else seems to notice.
No cover up, I wear my loud & proud. I shows I'm a survivor.
Mine starts at the center of my throat and goes around the left side of my throat to my shoulder, about 1/4 the way around my throat. It's about 6" long. How about yours?
naa...I don't bother to try to cover it up
I jsut show off my scars.They dont bother me at all and I am sorta proud of them.
