PTU and Itching

Is it possible to still have itching with Propylthiorucil after 2 1/2 weeks of taking it?? I started itching a day after I started taking it, now it is not as bad as it was in the beginning. I took Methimazole before the PTU and after 2 1/2 weeks it gave me hives and itching. I feel a lot better with the anxiety, rapid heart beat and everything else. I just don't want my Endo to stop it cuz I want to give a chance and see if the itching goes away. I don't really want to have surgery or the RAI. He called me today and said that my thyroid ultrasound shows no nodules only that the right side is enlarged, the left side is fine. Do you think I have a good chance to go on remission if I continue using the PTU, he said that it was large but not that bad.
