Hi - I'm brand new to this site, but hoping some of you know way more about understanding lab results than I do. I've been diagnosed as hypothyroid for 25 years, and was on the same dose of synthroid (137 mcgm( for about 10 years, until I sensed something wasn't working 2 years ago. Labs confirmed high TSH (15.0) and dose was increased to 175, then backed down to q50, where I've been for a year. About 6 weeks ago, my endo added 5 mc of cytomal because I still was not feeling great. She ordered labs as a follow up, and I got them done today. Just got the results online (also want to add that I have not had my period in about 15 months, which is why she added the FSH lab). Coincidentally, two days ago, it started ( along with horrible cramps and bloating!!) So, here's what I have: TSH IS .22 ( last test was 2/17, 1.01); free thyroxine was .67 ( last test was 2/17, .79), free T3 is 4.6 ( last test was 7/16, 4.4), and FSH was 23.5 ( last test was 8/16, 16.9). These numbers seem all over the place to me, and to be completely honest, I have been noticing many symptoms that are linked to pituitary tumors, although I really try to avoid self-diagnosis or jumping to conclusions based on google searches! If anyone thinks they might be able to give me any insight into these results, I would be so very grateful!
