Please help

Hello, I have discovered that I have a thyroid problem about a year and a half ago.  My family doctor noticed my neck wasn’t normal when I went for a general check up.  She then had me to see a thyroid specialist and he suggested that I should have an ultrasound taken, which they have discovered a nodule on the left side of my thyroid (2.2cm by 1.5cm by 0.7cm).  I was sent to have a biopsy and the result came “not diagnosed”. Then I had to have another biopsy done (how frustrating) and I was told it is 15% malignant. I was also sent to have a blood work done and my TSH level result was 1.29 which is “normal”.  The specialist sent me to see a surgeon and he suggested that I have to have it removed ASAP.. To quote him “You are making the biggest mistake of your life”:. However, I didn't want to go through a surgery because I don't have any symptoms they are describing to me. Also, the size of my thyroid is the same size.  I asked the thyroid specialist that I want to have a kid next year before I go trough a sugary.  He insisted that I have to have a surgery in order to diagnose my situation which is the only suggestion.  From what I have read and gathered information from people with a situation like mine I don't think I die tomorrow.  All I am saying is that I am 30 years old and want to have kid(s) first and have the thyroid removed after.  Any suggestion?

My friend had to have her thyroid removed due to malignant nodules and went on to have 2 healthy children afterwards. I am not sure how aggressive what you have is, however make sure you don't delay and then have regrets in the future if it should get any worse. Any malignancy would worry me and I would have it out ASAP.
Good Luck!

Thanks for your response sweetpea341.  My cousin who is 26 had her thyroid removed last year.  The doctor supposed to remove half of the tyroid as the nodule was only on the left side.  However he removed the right as well becasue he thought he saw a cancer cell on the right side.  Now my cousin has to take the tablets for the rest of her life.  I will have mine removed when the time is right.  It's just doesn't seem right to have it removed at this age.  Do you know any herbal treatment or something that would help.  Thanks

there is no herbal treatment for  thyroid cancer.I hate to be a Debbie downer but you just dont mess around with cancer especially since it can metastisze to other parts of your body fairly quickly.I wish you luck but dont wait to have this taken care of.
