I just uploaded a close up after three weeks on my profile. There are two bumps on/above the scar that you can see in the photo (of course more noticable to me when I feel them too). Will these go away with time? Do you think it's scar tissue or internal stitches? Will massaging them help? I've read a bunch of old posts where people say this but my doc did not say to massage them...however after surgery his office has not been extremely helpful anyway.
I looked at yr pics and yr Surgeon has done a great job!
Sometimes I wonder if I should post my shoulder shoulders intensive treatment Shoulder arthroscopy Shoulder pain reconstruction pics here just to show you guys just how good yr scars are:)
Mine was a big one and ugly as hell but hardly noticeable now.
You look beautiful in your pics :)
I had my TT in late March and I too felt as though there was kind of a roll of skin underneath. My daughter is a massage therapist and she checked it out, probably about 4 to 6 weeks out...she thought there was some scar tissue doing something in there, I'd have to ask her what, but she advised me to let her do a bit of massage...nothing harsh and very scar specific. I was really nervous. She start rubbing over the scar and I wanted to come off the table. Was very protective...It didn't hurt me. Within days, the scar was laying flat and I only have one very small littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummyslumpLumps in the breasts left, it's at the end where it is taking longer to heal and it's maybe the size of a round pin headHead and face reconstruction Head injury Head lice Indications of head injury Radial head injury....So I'd say if you're going to massage it...let someone who knows what they are doing do it...Mine is very nicely healing...or so I am told by a lot of people...(I hate it). It looks like I had a long paper cutCuts and puncture wounds.
Thank you all for your kind comments :) I will check with my massage therapist, great idea. I haven't had $$ for massage lately but I will give her a call at least and ask. Thanks!
I just had my second surgery, they used internal stiches, mine is a purple slash, but no visible stiches. Yes, you should massage it after a few weeks, not too much pressurePressure ulcer, but just move it around so the scar tissue does not connect with the tissue under it.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with your scar! It is probably still feeling lumpy inside as the internal stitches take a long time to dissolve and the lumpiness is also the under layers of skin being where they aren't normally!
A bit of light massage will help.
If you get the chance look at my photos of my scar around the same time as your pics...you will see I had no external stitches. But did have the lumpiness. I had my second surgery 5 months after the first and that makes my scar wider (bummer for me!)
I love your hairstyle...looks very pretty.
Dear Sandra, We had our TT about the same time. How are you doing now? Any weight gain? I am still on .100mcg levothyroxin (levothyroxine), which I take at a unbelievable time of early morn, Haven't seen the endo at all, so I am switching MD. Dawn aka.(Dawnsarah)
