I am typing this while on break at work so please forgive me if it makes little sense 
Thank you all so much for replying! It helps so much to able to speak to people that have
the same issues.

Smilerdeb- I don’t think I have had an antibody test, just a FNA. My doctor says I am
Euthyroid but I didn’t get a copy of my labs. My FNA came back showing “Florid Hurthle
Cell change in a nodular goiter. I have soooo many hypo symptoms that I cant believe my labs
are normal. I just kept reading that Hurthle Cell Change was found in autoimmune diseases
and so far my Endo has not mentioned a word about the antibody test.

I have known for about five years that I just do not feel good and something was not right but I blew it off
For a long time until it became unbearable last year. I finally went to my primary for depression
And he checked my thyroid levels. They came back with a low number so he thought Hyper. They wanted to find out why and did an ultrasound. There they found my multinodular goiter.

I thought, “Yes! They have found what is wrong with me and they are going to help me!’ Well, they sent me to my Endo and my blood came back normal. He wanted to do a biopsy for the nodule that was over  1 cm, so he did and it came back as above. So, I wait until October to see if it has grow. Still feeling awful
now a little afraid and a lot confused.

Redheadaussie- Yes, My Hurthle cells were discovered in FNA results. I guess my diagnosis is benign nodular goiter. I guess maybe Hurthle Cells can be there without disease? I feel awful but have not had an antibody test and right now am euthyroid. So, I am now playing the watch and wait game. I am glad they found yours early and got rid of it!

Again, thank you both so much for your help! I know my family loves me but they are not really willing to listen. They always say “ it came back benign, let it go.” It gets a little lonely. I am so glad I found this forum! 

Hi! I had Hashimoto's thyroiditis and Hurthle cell adenoma with changes.
I had also multinodular goitre.
From all my research on the subject (believe me I have read everything to do with Hurthle cells!) it would appear it is usually found in multinodular goitres of Hashimoto patients.
Unfortunately there is no hard and fast rule when it comes to them changing into cancer or not. There are many variations on the theme, so to speak! Mine were with Follicular changes.  It was heading toward cancer but was encapsulated and removed.
What is your diagnosis? Or are you trying to get some ideas of what you might have?
If you are asking about Hurthle cells I presume you have had a FNA? These cells are only found in a biopsy, before or after surgery.
Toxic goitre is  a dumping effect usually found in hyperthyroidism. Hashimoto's is not that. Graves is hyper.
Hurthle cells are usually only found in Hashimoto patients but that is not a hard and fast rule as I said. There is a higher percentage in Hashi'.
hope that helps.

Have you had antibody tests done to determine if you have Graves or Hashis?
Also what was your last labs?
Post here if you can to help others answer your questions.
Your local Doctor can run these tests.

Toxic nodular goiter is the most common cause of hyperthyroidism.
So my guess is that you may have the autoimmune disease .......Graves.
It does not always mean cancer.
It is more prevailent in causing hyperthyroidism than cancer.
The word 'Toxic' scares the life out of people thinging they have cancer....this isnt always the case.
In this condition, Toxic means that it is stimulating the nodules which in turn stimulates the function of the thyroid...hence HYPERthyroidism.

Have you had a FNA (fine needle aspiration) done yet?
Until that has been done....it is a guessing game.
One thats best left until you see your Endo.
Either way, I have never seen or heard of anyone die from thyroid cancer if thats any help.
It is the most curable kind of cancer.
