Hi,
I went to a doctor a year ago because I had been experiencing chronic fatigue and apathy, which was very abnormal for me. I also had irregular menses, PMDD and my hair was falling out.
He discovered a thryroid nodule (3 cm) and referred me to an Endo who tested my thyroid leveles and ordered a FNA biopsy. My labs showed that my TSH, T3, and T4 levels were in the normal range and that the nodule was a benign multinodular goiter. My symptoms have continued and sometimes i have bouts of anxiety. My thyroid levels have been tested 3 more times and were in the normal range, although the docs said that some of my levels were close to being hypo. I finally had my thyroid antibodies tested last week and they came back positive.
My results were:
TSI = 105 (ref range: 125 or less)
Thyroidglobulin Antibodies = 183 (ref range: 1000 (ref range: <35 IU/mL)
What does this mean? Are these really high? Do you think I have Hashimotos?
Also, I started taking YAZ birth control last week for my irregular menses and PMDD. I feel like I have more enery and a more positive mindframe. Could the pill be helping my thyroid?
