Possible to have Hashimoto's and negative antibodies

Hi! Is it possible to have Hashimoto's and negative or low antibodies?? Symptoms are swelling painful neck off and on lasting for several weeks. With inflammation is choking /spasms in neck at times, also  onset of anxiety, muscle spasms, insomnia, chest pain, pressure... then gets slowly better and goes away......... til next time.

I also had 1/2 thyroid removed for  large benign nodules, now remaining side is multinodular. Thanks.

Thanks. I have had TSH, Free T3, Free T4, total T3, and antibodies- which I am not sure?
All were Free T's were borderline low normal, TSH normal, antibodies negative.
What other things can trigger Thyroiditis?? Thanks for any  help!!!

The symptoms could also be totally unrelated to the thyroid.

What tests have you had run?

It IS possible, but rare.

It could be that you are having Thyroiditis from a viral source or some other trigger.

But have you been tested for more than one antibody?
