Post Radioactive Iodine Uptake Test Concerns.

Hi there,

I would just like to know whether I need to take the same precautions as someone who is treated with Radioactive Iodine. The uptake test uses far less Iodine and I have even read a different iodine is used. So should I:

Sleep alone?
Wash my clothes separately?
and all the other things?

Thanks for the help!

Because the radioactive iodine leaves the body via your urine, you may be advised to flush the toilet twice each time... You should talk to the technician doing the test for additional instructions/precautions.
