It reads
Thyroglobulin - serum: 0.1 ug/L ( <35 )
Comment - The presence of anti-thyroglobulin antibodies may cause
falsely low thyroglobulin results, including undetectable
thyroglobulin results.
The thyroglobulin assay method has been changed from 19/10/2010. Results may
differ and changes should be interpreted with caution in patients being
monitored with serial measurements.
Thyroglobulin Ab: 15 U/mL ( < 60 )
Thyroperoxidase Ab: 34 U/mL ( < 60
The lower your thyroglobulin the better! Especially after a cancer. This is a marker for cancer and yours sounds fine. If it had increased after 4 years then you need to worry.
Are you sure it is the thyroglobulin you are worried about being lower, and not something else on the lab sheet that you are misreading?
The difficulty lies in the fact that thyroglobulin is only associated with thyroid tissue. It also can be difficult to assess when a person is taking thyroid medication. (It is very complicated and I am trying to paraphrase for you to understand) The fact your TPO antibodies are low is a good sign as well. If if were over 60 and yours are at 34 then it can be said that you still have some thyroid tissue remaining. Which means that any thyroid tissue may well be producing thyroglobulin. In your case it has gone down, not up, even allowing for false negatives, your thyroperoxidase (TPO) antibodies are low enough to show this is not happening.
It is always wise for any cancer patient to monitor their levels over time to make totally sure the cancer has not reappeared. It does take up to 6 years for thyroid antibodies to dissipate.
