Post thyroidectomy and concerns

I had a total thyroidectomy perform 2 years ago and I've recently been having ankle problems swollen a bit, but very sore and feel tight usually at night.  Although today is the first day isn't been ongoing.  Since surgery I've never felt 100%.  I recently adjusted my meds last month and I am due for a blood test soon.  I just would like to know if having sore hands and feet is a symptom or is this more due to age, arthristis etc?

Prior to RAI (graves and HYper) in June 2008 , I had 'elephant man' feet and legs from the anti-thyroid meds and going hypo so very fast.
It was agaony and I took celery capsules (allergic to anti-inflammatories) and this helped.

But yes, I was major HYPO. Once the levels came up...the swelling went down but I know I had it bad and couldnt even walk or put shoes on.

YES! It is a big time HYPO. symptom for my daughter who is 9 and born without a thyroid gland. Especially the ankles and feet! You are probably under treated with your medication. Post your labs when you get them w/ the refference ranges. Please insist on freet3 and freet4 being teasted along with the TSH.
