Pregnant & Hypothyroid

I conceived when my first daughter turned one.  I had a miscarriage 7 weeks later.  I was given a blood test and my tsh was 4.7 slightly hypothyroid.  I was put on thyroid medication of 50mcg.  A month ago my tsh was -.5, slightly hyper.  I just found out I am pregnant and my doctor recommended increasing my dosage.  She said the needs increase when becoming pregnant and most women become slightly hyper in the early stages of pregnancy any way.  I am a little uneasy of increasing the medication.  What if my body naturally becomes hyper and then becomes even more hyper with the medication?  She said it doesn't affect the baby but I read it can.  Please advise.

Maybe speak with a reproductive endocrinologist?  Just a thought...I do know that your levels must be monitored and that labs have different ranges of where you should be throughout each trimester.

My best to you..
