Problem swalowing

Since last week I feel a discomfort in my throat, not painfull, but a feeling like there is something stuck there. I don't have a cold or sore throat. The discomfort is mainly at the botom of my throat, close to the colar bone. When I swalow, I have a feeling that something moved down my throat and is gone but then my discomfort sort of moves towards my chest.  I am not sure it this is making any sense, but I am very concern.
Couple of months back I was at the doctor's office complianing about the shoulder pain, and noticed a swelling at the colar bone (bone like). My physical and shoulder and neck Xray had shown that I have swelling due to the osthyoarthritis. It was suggested that I take some Advil for pain and inflamation (inflammation).

I would request a blood test for thyroid panel and ultrasound on the thyroid just to be sure you do not have abnormalities.  If you MD won't do this, go to an endocrinologist
