Puzzling Thyroid Labs

I recently had my thyroid labs re-run. I was asking my doctor for a trial of Armor and she wanted to get labs done before starting me on the meds. My labs came back as follows:

T3, Total: 86 ng/dL (range: 80 - 190 ng/dL)
T3, Free: 2.8 pg/mL (range: 2.3 - 4.2 pg/mL)
Free T4: 1.2 ng/dL (range: 0.8 - 1.5 ng/dL)
Thyroglobulin Ab: 1 IU/mL (range: < or = 1 IU/mL)
Thyroglobulin: 86.5 nG/mL (Intact Thyroid range: 2.8-40.9)

I had my TPO-ab done in June and it was:
Thyroperoxidase Ab 4.9 IU/mL (range : <9.0 IU/mL)

I've had ultrasounds on my goiter that suggest Hashimoto's, but my lab work (antibodies) have never indicated this. I know I can have Hashi without antibodies, but I'm now wondering about the high level of thyroglobulin. Also, my TSH had always been around 1 and has now dropped.

Since my TSH is low she doesn't want to try Armor. I am desperate for some relief. My brain fog and forgetfulness is frustrating, not to mention the general feeling of being unwell.

Central hypothyroidism and need to supplement thyroid hormones irrespective of whats TSH value is.

Since your Free T3 value is very less its better to use natural dessicated one rather than synthetic as it supply T4 only. Find another doctor as current one is not good.

The suitable treatment approach is start with small dose and repeat Free T4 and Free T3 after 1 month and together with your wellness and either increase the dose or reduce till the values remain in optimal ranges.

Also its worth to do these blood tests too Vitamin D3, Vitamin B12 and Ferritin as deficiencies of these can bring many of the symptoms you are experiencing including low T4 to T3 conversion issue.
