You should talk to your nuclearNuclear ventriculography medicine department at your hospital to get a list of precautions - a lot of it depends on how much you are given and if it is for scanning, treatment, cancer, GravesGraves disease, etc.
I know that radiation sniffers at the airport can pick up the radiation from thyroid cancer treatment for up to 9 months after your scan. They do say that you can get pregnant after 6 months - my sister did and has a beautiful, healthy 2-year old now.
