Yes.
There are many more success stories though, statistically.
Are you trying to decide on a course of treatment?

Yes, I already took it two weeks ago. So far I am feeling good, and I don't have those terrible feelings any more, I just feel a little soreness on that area and a bit of difficulty swallowing, the doctor told me that's normal at this stage. But i was just wondering how things are going to be from now on, I hope will be better and better. Thank  you for answer to me anyway.

I had RAI a month ago.

The next few months may be a little rocky.

If you had RAI to completely kill your thyroid, it will take a while for it to die and get your medication dosage figured out.
Maybe six months to a year.

During that time, anything can happen as far as your thyroid hormones go. High, low, stable, hard to say.

If you had RAI following surgery, that is a different situation.

Hope things go smoothly for you. Get bloodwork done every six weeks or two months. Sooner, if you feel poorly. I've had mine checked twice already. So far, so good. :)

I had RAI for Thyca 6 months ago, and agree with AR-10 the worst part has been getting my meds adjusted as the tissue dies. Some weeks I feel like a seesaw with them and people are tired of hearing how tired I am! LOL. But if you are doing well now, you should continue to improve. Just keep on getting the bloodwork done. Good Luck!

Side effects can involve your taste buds and possibly saliva glands. I lost taste for about a month and continue to have saliva gland problems, but they are not bad.  At first my saliva ducts were blocked, so everytime I ate my cheeks swelled for about 2 hours. That has stopped and now I don't produce enough saliva, making it hard to chew dry food. I always have a glass of water nearby.

Have you gained any weight after that? I am so scared, i hate to be fat. I already started in a diet and exercise, even though it has been just over two weeks that I had RAI. Thanks for your help and support.
