Roller coaster ride with thyroid from high to low to high and back

Has anyone else experienced these wild rides.  I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism last May. A small 4mm nodule was found with an ultrasound. First test showed TSH 0.006 with T-4 2.79.  I started a regime of Methimazole and Propanalol (low dose to begin).  July test showed TSH .010 with T-4 2.19.  Meds were increased. Finally was able to see an endocrinologist in and August test showed TSH 20.4 with T-4 2.19.  September test TSH 0.05 and T-4 2.3.  October TSH 1.8 and T-4 .9.  The latest test is where I am really concerned; TSH is now 72.06 and T-4 is 0.4.  I am now hypo.  The doctor has decreased the Methimazole and Propanalol, but keeping me on them.  I am confused as to what is going on, and wonder if I should still be on anti-thyroid medication.  My vision has been blurred now for about two weeks.  I have an appointment soon with an opthamologist, but what can he do if it's a thyroid problem.  Are there any suggestions from anyone who has experienced this wild ride?

Please post your dosages of Methimazole and Propanalol and show the TSH and FT4 that corresponds with those dosages.  I am trying to see what the doctor changed and what the result was.
