Saw Endo for 2.6 cm nodule

by littles, Nov 04, 2008 03:29PM
I saw my endo for first time today.  It ends up that I have a nodule 26 mm x 21mm x 22 mm.  This is a 2.6 centimeter nodule - to my surprise because my GP said it was very small at .25 cm but she read the ultrasound wrong - at least I didn't worry for one week.  I feel like I swallowed a golf ball now that I had the FNA biopsy done today - that is a weird feeling to say the least.  She said it was a solid singular nodule not cystic.  At first suspicions for cancer were low but when she did the biopsy and felt the solidity, she said it is a little more worrisome.  Ok, so here is my question, solid solitary nodule with no microcalcifications, should I expect a bad result from FNA?
