You need show your thyroid blood test here so other people can comment on it.  are you taking any meds to control your Graves ???  Over-meds can cause hair loss.

Bald spots on your scalp is called alopecia areata. I had it in high school and I am now hypothyroid due to Hashimoto's. They are all autoimmune diseases. My endo said the alopecia was probably the start of my hypothyroidism or is at least related. My hair grew back after several months. I had 3 bald patches.

Oh yes, I have been taking Methimzole for 6 years now toc ocntorl hyperthyroidism.  My thyroid is normal right now.  I have been in remission and off of meds. twice for a period of about 18 mos. each time.  But then become very hyperthyroid again.  Are you saying that too much medication can cause hair loss?

Hair loss is one of the hypo symptoms. But some Hyper people took too much Methimzole that push their thyroid level too low to become Hypo.' Too low' may be still in the normal range,  but each individual is different, some people have to keep their thyroid level at top 1/4 to eliminate all hypo symptoms.  So, take a current blood test, get your thyroid level to the top normal area and see if that take care your problem. This type of hair loss is temporary, it will grow back once you eliminate the cause.
