Severe joint and muscle pain

Taking 0.125 of levothyroxin can this cause pain  I have chronic back pain and I'm finding that my pain med only works for 6 hrs

Sgraves69... It's unlikely that the levothyroxine would be the cause of your pain, but it's entirely possible that hypothyroidism is the cause.  Often when we don't have enough medication, we can have body aches/pains.

If you could post your most recent thyroid lab results so we can see what testing you've had and what the results are, we'd be able to help you much better.  Please be sure to post the lab's reference ranges with any labs you post.

Once we see what your current labs are, we'll be happy to help with any further questions you might have.

The medication you are taking ( Levothyroxine) treats hypothyroidism. We are really sorry for not being able to help you since we have no knowledge about its side effects.
