Sex after total thyroidectomy

Hello I had a total thyroidectomy 3 days ago and was wondering how long I should be sexually inactive.
I have been finding that my sexual cravings are stronger than before the surgery also thanks.

Be careful with your neck.  There are internal stitches inside that take 6weeks to fully heal and if you strain and pull one .. you'll stop what you are doing in severe pain.   I'd ask your Dr. what he/she thinks first.

I was going to say that its a bleeping miracle that you are even thinking about sex three days post op - but if you are, and you feel up to it, I dont see any reason why not!  Just dont over exert yourself or strain your neck area at all.  Oh, and whatever you do, DONT SNEEZE!!!

well, this isn't a medical opinion, but if you feel physicaly able, I say go for it!  the only time you need to restrict your activity that I am aware of is post RAI . . .just be careful not to strain your neck!

YOU GO GIRL~~ WOW!! I just had my TT finished had to have a partial then the rest of it out due to cacner.... I think you better wait 2 weeks that is what my doc said and I had a neck disection as well. 4 days post.
