Should I be concerned about alkaline phosphatase numbers

I was diagnosed with graves last month...tests and RAI followed...had some blood work ran...free t4 1.07 on scale .50-1.20.... tsh <0.010 ...range...340-4.820.....alkaline phosphatase 145  range 46-118...

I take 20mgs methimazole a day...should it be 40? Should I be concerned about the alkaline phosphatase numbers?

I have seen an endocrinologist once the beginning of May...she is busy and the earliest she can see me again is mid July...her nurse told me after the RAI to she wanted me back on the methimazole at 20mgs... or maybe 40...     that's health care in SD

none of the numbers have meaning to me...thanks for any insight

I'm not sure why you're on such a high dose of methimazole, with a Free T4 of 1.07 when you've had RAI, which is intended to "kill" the thyroid; however, more important, why do you think it should be even an even higher dose?

High alkaline phosphatase can indicate, either a liver or bone problem; have any other test results been out of range or you had further tests done to determine if you have either one?  Out of range bilirubin, AST and ALT are some tests that would indicate liver issues.  Out of range phosphorus or calcium could indicate a bone problem.

What, if any, symptoms are you having?

Thank you so much for answering .I don't know anything about the meds or the numbers. Those numbers are a week old.... Before last month I didn't even know where your thyroid was located.. I wondered if I should be on a higher dose only because the endocrinologist nurse said to go on 20 mg two days after the rai and then said ..maybe I should do 40 instead.. pre rai I was on 60 then cut to 40.. of course stopped it a couple days before rai.

They put me back on it out of the fear of my thyroid dumping after the rai. Do you know at what point that fear passes?

All the other liver panel tests are normal. I talked my cardiologist into running the tests for me..he was horrified I had had no testing since leaving hospital  a month ago

The symptoms I have are palpitations. Short of breath, tired etc. I'm sure they are mostly caused by the drugs they have me on.. my heart rate runs in 40s when resting and can't seem to get above 80 before I'm out of breath... I was able to stop the eliquis and diltiazem.. I'm still on 10mg of bisoprolol..

Thanks for any information. I'm kinda trying to figure this out.
