Should I be on Armour or Nature Throid?

I have been on Armour for several years (90 mg most recent)  and apx 2 months ago switched to Nature Throid 81.25 only because of cost. Having symptoms like heart palpitations, trouble sleeping, irritability, depression. Am I just better on Armour or could it be a dosage adjustment needed on the Nature Throid? I just had a blood draw but cant see doc for 2 weeks. Need a refill TODAY and leaning toward filling the Armour. Any advice appreciated!

I don't know of any reason to change dosage when switching from Armour to NatureThroid.  Each grain of Armour contains 38 mcg of T4 and 9 mcg of T3, same as NatureThroid.  The only difference is the fillers/binders used to make the pills.  So the switch basically reduced your med dosage by about 10%.  When did the symptoms start?

If it were me I would get back on 90 mg, regardless of the brand.  Also, 90 mg of a desiccated thyroid med is not a large dose.  What were your thyroid related test results and reference ranges shown on the lab report preciously?   Do you know what tests are being done from today?  Did you take your morning dose before the blood draw?
