Sick of the Sleep Problems!

How many of you struggle with sleep problems even when you seem to be medicated properly?  Just sick of it here and needing to vent. I sleep so great some nights and others it is a struggle.....I am either wired, heart is palpitating, etc. and then I get anxious because I cannot sleep and know that I will be tired at work the next day. I have some xanex that helps sometimes and I have tried melatonin but nothing is great at helping me.  I do not like lunesta or ambien because of side effects.  Oh well....just wondering about others out there and how you handle it.

Being awake when everyone else is asleep in the house depresses me!

Hi, I've had major sleep issues since my thyroid enlarged, possible hyperthyroid, will know for sure 19th of this month.  But, most times melatonin is a natural sleep aid, that helps me get a good nights rest, with no side affects.  I use it occassionally.  I've tried Lunesta, Etc.... in the past, Melantonin alway's worked best.  Give it a try.  Good luck !

Empathise completely.....some nights great, but at the moment sleep is an alien state to me.
I have a carefully guarded stash of Xanax (can't get it in the UK) which I use when absolutely desperate and luckily it works like a dream for me. Not sure what I'll do when it runs out however.
You have my sympathy

I don't have the problem.  Please post your thyroid test results and reference ranges.  What thyroid meds are you taking and what is daily dose?
