so sorry that happened. My daughter was so ill she didn't move anyway so cannot compare with her I guess. I am surprised, though, they abruptly cut the test like that bcz my dd did move around .. and the nuclear tracer unit followed and picked up her movement ?? such a shame ... probably the tech had no patience ... so they never got to the part they injected the hormone? Only the IV dye?

To me the worse part of the Hida Scan was the dye they inject through your IV. It mad me extremely nauseated, so I turned my head to the side because I thought I might throw up. As soon as I moved the test was over, they couldn't finish the test do to movement. So try really hard not to move and good luck!!!!
My daughter had one last month that clinched her diagnosis. IF it is gallbladder functioning it probably will hurt after they inject the CCK hormone which stimulates the GB to function as if food is passing thru the body ... they inject the dye and track your physical pain, and other things for 3 mins after it is injected. My daughter's pain level increased alot after the injetion and her result of HIDA Scan was only 4% !!!!! Anything below 35% is not normal.
The test took 1 hr 45mins start to finish. You just need to lie still as they trace the nucelear subtance starting when your GB glows on the screen LOL!~
I don't need the test. Lucky me. We KNOW it is my gallbladder ROTFLOL and I am too stubborn to get it out .. stones, and all.
