system checked by my own Doc. I went to see him and he ordered tests, just I had to make aan appt with the nurse.
I went today to get the blood taken. Seems he has ordered CBC, liver, kidney and THYROID tests.
I'm probably missing something but isn;t thyroid the other end of my body from prostate or are thyroid and prostate hormones linked much?
I can tell there is some relationship with some glands as I've had burning hot feeling at back of head (is that Pituatory gland?) and chills from there to my prostate/testicle/perineum area.
thyroid is part of the endocrine system that gi doc wanted checked. the pituitary gland is deep inside your head and cannot be felt. swollen gland in your neck and groin are why they are doing the blood work.
the prostate would have been checked by the gu doctor as wall as any issues with urethra. if he checked and it wasn't in his area , he would then send you on to someone who could deal with it
The Genito Urinary Doc didn;t check my Prostate. She said the lymphadenopathy in my groin just wan;t an STI and to see my Doc.
GU don't do referrals, they don't even look at symptoms they just say see your own Doc. Then it's another month until I get an appointment with my own Doc, then a couple of weeks to see the nurse for a blood draw. Frustrating.
I'm just not sure why if I have problems with my Prostate my GP is running thyroid tests. There's nothing wrong with my thyroid.
