Soybean oil

My low iodine diet lists margerine and butter. However the butter is made from cream and margerines contain soybean oil.  Can someone straighten me out since I am not suppose to have soy products or dairy?

I am on the LID right now and EVERYTHING I have read restricts butter.  I have been told Fleishmanns makes a green label margarine that is ok but I am learly as it does have soybean oil.  I'm just steering clear of both right now.

I think I will be able to do the nut milk but glad to know about hemp milk.  Where would I purchase that?
My food allowed list permits margerine, butter, veg oil, but so far have not located a margerine without soybean oil and of course butter is made with cream.  The bread recipes in the Thyroid cookbook look great but they call for baking powder and soda.  I  am not sure if all low iodine diets have the same requirement.

It would be terrible to think I was do everything correctly and after two weeks find that I wasn't.  My son was on this diet for 6 weeks and it got pretty rugged but you all know how rugged it can get already.

If on a LID, soy of any sort should be avoided. It is known to affect the thyroid.
Living Harvest HempMilk has no soy or iodine whatsover and another member takes that for her LID.
Hope that helps.
