Steri Strips

Can someone tell me how long these Steri Strips will stay on my neck incision?

Mine were on one week -- surgery thurs 9/25, strips removed the following thurs, 10/2.  I too have the "goiter" look.  Doc said it was b/c of the reaction to the glue.  Good luck!

I think mine were on for about 10-11 days.. The edges started lifting sooner but I left them on until it was apparent they were ready to go.  That goes for both the ones I had where my thyroid used to be, AND the ones I had where my gallbladder was removed!

I was told to snip away the edges as they peel up.   I did have to pull some off but the snipping made it easier.  Within a week they were pretty much all off. .

My surgeon told me to take mine off after 10 days.  However, they would have stayed on much longer, as they took much "persuasion" to get off.
