Stomach discomfort and Naturethroid

So I started having hypo symptoms a year ago, went to the doc, and was told to take more vitamin D. That helped, til it didn't. Went to the doc again around Apr/May and told same thing. But hypo symptoms of bloating and constipation appeared on top of the fatigue and brain fog. I figured I'd go to an endo and insist on testing antibodies since my TSH was "normal" or "borderline." Sure enough I have hashimotos, but the endo wouldn't prescribe any thyroid since FT3 and FT4 were normal range. I now go to a naturopath who started me on Nature throid. For the first 6 weeks I was on 1/2 grain. I felt a lot of improvement at first, even with my digestion. I am also pretty much paleo, which helped significantly before going on medication. As I began to feel not so great again, she has now put me on 1grain. I've been on that for about 8 days. I feel like my concentration and clarity is great, but my stomach is really off. Abdominal cramping, increase in BMs (soft stools), and lower back pain. I guess also anxiety has increased. I'm wondering if this will pass as I normalize on the dose. Did I increase the does to quickly? Should I split my dose with 1/2 morning, 1/2 afternoon? Is it possible side effects from fillers (seems crazy, I imagine it's such a small amt.)? Any experience or insight?

I would not expect an increase of 1/2 grain would cause those reactions.   as for the filler, if that were a problem, you likely would have noticed it at the start.  So I think you need to split the dose since that is usually a good idea with desiccated thyroid med like NatureThroid.  Then I would give it some time for you to acclimate.

In order for us to better understand your status, please post your thyroid related test results and reference ranges.  Also, what is your Vitamin D level? Have you been tested for B12 and ferritin?  With hypothyroidism those are frequently too low also.
