I've been having a lot of LOL ??? hypo or hyper symptoms .....cold very easy in 72 degree home (yet sweat easy), muscle spasms threw out body, aches and pains, headaches, heart palps (normal for me, though lately intensified), puffiness in face, edema, itching all over, hair thinning, bla bla bla whine whine whine. LOL So tired of complaining.
NOTHING IS CUT AND DRY. All I believe look pretty normal
Last TSH was .98, FT4 .066 and T4 6.9 on Nov. 13th 2008
I take .25 of Levothyroxine once daily, Lopressor 50mg twice daily, Lipitor 10 mg once daily, Diazide/Maxide 50/25 once daily, and low dose aspirin.
Was told and it's in my medical pages that I have hypothyroidism, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, copd and hypoglycemia. I was put in the lipitor for my hsCRP yet my chol. is rising dispite a pretty decent diet.
I'm so confused on what is causing what. Anyhow after saying all of that I was just wondering if this hot feeling in my throat could be thyroid related. Also if I find a good Endo in 2009 could they handle most of these issues minus the heart issues? Thank you in advance;
Your thyroid tests really should be Free T4 and Free T3 rather than all those other T4 and T3 tests.
When thyroid hormones are released into your system, 99% of those hormones are bound by various proteins. Only 1% remains free to be used. Ask for a Free T4 test and a Free T3 test. Total T4 and Total T3 are not telling you anything.
Your TSH can look "normal" and you can be short on Free T3.
I'm not going to address a lot of your other tests. Hopefully someone else will comment.
I don't know if this has anything to do with acid reflux, but have you been checked for a hiatal hernia? It may possibly be causing some of your problems if you happen to have one.
I still have a bout of acid - no where near what it was - but it is there daily. Morning and then calms during the day - then at night it kicks up again.
I don't know - I never had it before my thyroid stuff - so I think it has alot to do with it for myself.
I seem to find vinager - or ( this is crazy) pickle juice stops the attacks. Like what you mention in your post. I had a craving and drank it - Isn't that nuts??
Recently just tried this pickle juice thing out of a whim. I know it must have something to do with an abnormal PH level - if that is caused by thyroid issues - no one I see is really buying into that.
Did you check those levels checked out? it is pretty simple to do through urine.

Just a thought.
Hope things improve for you.
