This may sound like a stupid or obvious question, but here goes. Does stress affect you guys badly? Is it just an autoimmune trigger or is it a thyroid thing all together? I've noticed that I get worse after stressful times in my life or even a stressful day. One bad day and I'm down for days? How about you guys?
Glad to hear the breast cancer is behind you. I've noticed that sometimes my recall is slow or "foggy" as you say. That scares me because I am a nurse and my memoryMemory loss Mental status tests has always been good and quickly retrieveable. Thanks for responding. I also have Epstein-Barr and I know stress plays a factor. I'm just worried about going back to work. No place is stress free. I hope I can learn to deal with it.
I'm with you SophiaMia. The brain fog and inability to remember things exactly is really scaring me. I was recently accused of saying something that I didn't and never would say at work, but because I couldn't remember the conversation word for word like I used to be able to and they know I used to be capable of, I look guilty. I work for the State and you can't use the "I have Hashimoto's and my abilities have changed" as an excuse because they'll just see it as a weakness. It has caused me a great amount of stress and anxiety and made for a very sleep deprived tiring weekend.
Prior to this thyroid issue the only time I had anxiety is when I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and that's a normal response.
This whole situation is beyond me. :)
