I take, I believe, the best supplement. I take Custom Essentials. They are a multivitamin/mineral that is customize just for you. I do have to take it in the afternoon bc I take my thy meds in the morn. (calcium slows the absorption of thy meds). If you want more information on how to get them drop me a note on my profile. And truthfully I feel better when I take them then when I don't. (Note currently working with doc to get med level correct)
I take selenium and magnesium, along with vitamin C. The selenium helps with the swelling and pain in my neck (keeps the antibodies from raging so much). Magnesium helps with the muscle/joint pain.
The most important supplements to take are the following:
Good multi vitamin (I prefer whole food source)
B complex at least twice a day
Vit C twice per day
selenium is helpful to some....not more than 200 mcg per day
