I am not sure but others may know .. we just went thru that with my 17yr old dd....in her case it was from Gallbladder disease and it really took a toll on her body .. after her GB was taken out it went away ... I know I strayed from Thyroid but wanted to share wtih you and I know how uneasy Syncope can be ....

If the blood pressure is low, or you have thyroid swelling that pressing against the neck artery, you may have syncope

I've had problems with it, but I think it's more likely due to low blood pressure (also possibly some anxiety, as it most often happened when I had blood drawn - I've had that done so often now that it doesn't happen much anymore!).
