Synthroid Dose 150

by Hol739, Jan 30, 2009 10:24AM
Does anyone feel like this??? Ive been on 125mcg and was just recently moved up to 150mcg, I have been feeling like a burning sensation and anxiety again, my levels were 21.7 tsh and now its 7.27 tsh so he raised my meds up to 150mcg, I'm just afraid it's so much, but I guess not, I'm pregnant so he said he wanted to raise my dose also because I'm pregnant. Has anyone else had these symptoms? And been raised with being pregnant?

What was your Free T4 and Free T3 results? Your doctor isn't treating you on TSH alone is he? You need all 3 tests in order to see the whole picture of what is going on with your thyroid.
I get burning sensations and anxiety when I am hypo....especially when my T3 level drops too low.

Don't get the burning sensation but a major YES for the anxiety!!!! Its unreal and horrible....  I had it from the start of being hypo last September! Worst experience of my life!!! Don't worry your not alone on this one, many people have anxiety due to being hypo, just take it one day at a time, its all we ca n do with thyroid problems.. Hope you feel better and congrats on being pregnant!!!

No he does other test as well.. TSH 7.27 T4 Free 0.96, T3 216, I think the 216 is high but I"m not sure about those numbers. I'm so confused on this thyroid stuff. I hate feeling the way I do though, I just wish it would all go away!!!  Any info you can give me would help so much. Thanks

Range for TSH is .30-3.0, so a TSH of 7.27 is still way too high....Free T4 range( 0.8-1.8, yours isn't even mid range, only low normal range and should be higher, Free T3 range (230-420) you are very low and this should be mid to mid high normal range.
So you are still quite hypo and that is why you feel like crappola!
I am with you....we all wish this darn illness would just go away!!!  :)
