Synthroid and frequent heart flutters

by eastgurl, Nov 12, 2007 10:26PM
Hi,
I have hypothyroidism and have been on Synthroid .075 for several years.  My TSH levels are normal now.  However, I’ve experienced heart flutters or palpitations on and off for a few years.  I’ve taken the EKG and everything is fine.  The heart palpitations are very scary and are now lasting longer than before (and more frequent).  Is this normal?  My doctor says my heart conditions have nothing to do with the Synthroid since the TSH level is fine.  Is there anything I should be doing to prevent this from happening?  Should I just accept this as a part of my life now?  Thanks for your help!
