Are you on any thyroid replacement meds?

They don't look normal at all -- they look very hypo. Low TSH with low frees indicates hypo pituitary or secondary hypothyroidism. Your Free t3 should be above 3.8 and your Free t4 should be over 1.4ng/dl.

There's a good chance your doctor won't confirm this for you as most typically don't care WHERE your result falls within the range, only that it falls within the range. I've seen this happen a thousand times! So I hope you have a good dr that isn't TSH obsessed.

No, I am not on any thyroid replacement meds at all. As a matter of fact my pcp told me they were in the normal range. I asked him for a copy of it. I made an appointment with a new endo for Jan. This new endo asked my pcp for a copy of my latest tests from the lab. When I go see him, it will be interesting to see what he says. My first endo suggested I go for counseling. I told her of my symptons and all she said was my TSH was normal. I was right all along. I know how I feel and no one else does. She told me to come back in a year. Thank you for telling me what I suspected all along.

It is all depend on how do you feel..  if you feel great, then you are normal, if you have all kinds of hypo problems, then you are hypo, if you have many hyper problems, then you are hyper.  Let you body tell you. blood test should match your symptoms (more or less), if they are totally wrong, you may have other problems, or errors on the test, you should do another test  just to make sure. I hope you find a good doctor who does not tell you everything is in your head or come back in a year.

Thank-you for that. I haven't felt well since my left hemi-thyroidectomy surgery this year. I haven't been on any meds because I was told my blood levels were normal.

Your TSH  looks good. It is not low. The free t3/4, however are in the low end of normal. I hope the doctor can help you make sense of these levels.

Your blood lab results look normal to me. Also how do you feel physically? Don't know if you're on meds or not. If not, looks normal. If yes, looks normal. If feeling tired ask doctor to do antibodies testing of thyroid too. I forgot the exact name. Just to see if your thyroid is being attacked by body and heading toward hypothyroid or hyperthyroid. I am not a doctor, just a patient and I always get my blood lab results mailed to me. Anything about thyroid, see an endocrinologist type of doctor. But looks good to me your test results.

Yes, so do I. As a matter of fact, I see a new endo in January. I had surgery earlier this year, and haven't been on any meds since the surgery. I'm hoping my new endocrinologist can put some light on the free t3/4. Thank-you for your input.

No, I haven't been on any meds since the surgery.I am always tired, headaches are often, sometimes feel like I am in a brain-fog, eyes are sensitive. I made an appointment to see an eye doctor. I don't know if constipation has anything to do with your thyroid but I am addressing that separately. Oh, and I will ask this endo to do an antibodies testing of thyroid also. Thank-you for that. I have learned so much on this forum from everyone.

The symptoms you mentioned are all hypo symptoms (constipation too), May be you are one of those people, like me,  must be in the upper normal range to feel good. Remember the test normal range is pretty wide, every one is different, you have to find out where is your optimal point of the test, when you get to that point, you will feel much better. (my personal opinion- based on many years of experience- you should try to get your FT3 to around 3.8, FT4 to around 1.5, TSH down to 0.8-1.0.  How do you get there ? simple, take some thyroid supplements, take small amount first, see how do you feel, take blood test see where you are, then increase accordingly until you feel good and no symptoms, then stop)

Thank-you for that. It makes a lot of sense. I will discuss this with a new endo I will be seeing soon. Hopefully this one will be more open-minded. I wish endocrinologists would stop going by what they consider within the normal range and go by how their patients are feeling. We have real symptons. Listen.

I'm sorry, I did not see your comment.Thank-you for confirming what I thought all along. You are right, endos don't care where it falls within the range, only that it falls within the range. That's why I am seeing a new endo. It will be interesting to see what he thinks. Thank-you for bringing that to my attention.
