T3 question

My mother is an 83 year old woman who is taking Synthroid plus T3 to help with her low thryroid levels. But her endocrinologist just suggested that she get off the T3, since she has recently started experienceing angioedema events (9 events since Jan.1). Is it okay for her to just stop taking the T3 cold-turkey, or better to taper her off it slowly?

Ok - thanks. I did ask, and the naturpath said it was ok to stop cold-turkey.
so, we did, and no problems so far. Just a slight change in mood (more depressed), but no huge physical withdrawal symptoms.
Appreciate your help.

I think you should ask her doctor that question.  It would depend to some extent on how much T3 she takes and how often.  I'd run it by her cardiologist and see what he thinks.
