T4 and TSH

I have just recently had some blood tests done for my hypothyroidism and my results have come back as TSH 7.72 and T4 of 13 - there has definitely been a change in me with extreme lethargy and feeling chilly even when the weather is hot.  However I have recently suffered from severe bi-lateral pneumonia and wondered if the general feeling of unwell and the fact that my immune system was hit quite badly with the pneumonia could affect the levels.  I am currently on 150mcg of levothyroxine.

I had hashimotos since I was 17 and I am 25 now...dnt think it is caused by any other sickness..but I do have symptoms like you...feeling cold, and being extremely tired..and others as well....

Has your Dr suggested an increase in meds based on your TSH?

Any acute illness or trauma can affect your thyroid....even stress for that matter.
Did your doctor increase your meds?

Going to docs on Monday morning - I cannot believe that they would not have even called me in if I had not called up and asked for my results.  I had been told that the most thyroid medication you can take on a daily basis is 200 mcg.  I suppose I will have to wait and see what the doc says.  I am just tired of feeling to awful!
