People who are taking lower dose are probably attaining or trying to attain, normal thyroid levels.  Whereas person such as yourself who are former thyroid cancer need suppressed TSH level, therefore need higher dose (but from t4 supplement to suppress TSH not Amour to suppress
T-3)

Your T-3 level is dangerously Too high! You need to talk to doctor to find out what he is doing and why.

Armour contains a much higher T3/T4 ratio than most humans need.  Armour favors T3 much more than the normal human thyroid ratio, after all, its from pigs thyroid and pigs thyroid are different then humans. Thyroid extract (Armour Thyroid) is generally not recommended due to variation in potency and contains large amounts of T3 which can cause palpitations and tremors." From Thyroid Foundation. Higher than normal blood levels of t3 hormone can pose a risk for dangerous cardiac arythmias and heart attacks..." From  Thyroid-Fed.org, The New England Journal Of Medicine. "Overall there is little to no evidence that a combination of T3 added to thyroxine provided therapeutic benefit additional randomized control trials of L-thyroxine alone vs. thyroxine
plus T3 did not show any clinical benefit of T3 supplementation. From MyThyroid

Good luck and Merry Christmas!
