Hi,
I have the following questions:
1- What id the TPO antibody level that is considered dangerous? Is 30 times more than normalNormal saline flush fatal?
2-What is the life expectancy (prognosis) of the patients with Hashimoto's Disease?
3-Is there any other way to treat the patients beside LevothyroxineLevothyroxine Levothyroxine sodium (hormone therapy)?
A TPOab level of over 1,000 is not unusual if you have an autoimmune thyroid condition.
I don't think there is a level that is considered fatal. Some people have posted here with a TPOab result as high as 7,000. There is a slight risk of developing Hashimoto's Encephelopathy when the count is over 1,000, but it is very rare to be diagnosed with H.E.
The only treatment for autoimmune hypothyroidism is hormone replacement. Either Levothyroxine, which is T4 hormone, or a combination drug with T4 and T3 like Armour or Westhroid.

The life expectancy of a person with Hashimoto's depends on the quality of treatment. Hashimoto's is the most common form of hypothyroidism. Most people who are hypothyroid have Hashimoto's. Most of them live normal lives and live a normal life span. If you get good treatment, it may not affect the way you live all that much.
