TSH .005 and cyst on pituitary any relation?

by Mojoe89, Jan 13, 2009 06:00PM
I was feeling very illthe other day and lost sensation on the left side of my face. Couldn't think right, Went to Nuero said all ok   then blood work showed TSH of 0.005

I have some kind of cyst on my pituitary . Is is possible that this can be the cause?

It might be time to see an endocrinologist. Did you have a Free T4 and Free T3 done with the TSH? Are you having hyper symptoms?

Went yesterday to Edocrinologist
He said he would have never believed that the bllod work was mine because I am very tired and lethargic not hyper at all

Focus is now on pituitary gland

If you have low TSH and low free T4 and free T3, yes it could be the pituitary gland. You can have secondary hypothyroidism.
