TSH and other lab testing

by Sunshine_67, Nov 08, 2009 02:08PM
Why do most docs only go by the TSH and totally ignore the FT4 and FT3, even though those are the actual thyroid levels? My TSH has always been very low since I started on thyroid meds, but so has my FT4 and FT3. I have never once had a hyper symptom, I only have a lot of hypo symptoms and have felt like **** for over a year now, yet every doc I've seen has insisted I'm overmedicated simply based on the TSH alone. If your FT4 and FT3 are also low, how can that mean you're overmedicated? Especially when all your symptoms are hypo and not hyper.
